It all depends on your definition of reasonably priced.
Under £5,000 - Audi S2
Under £10,000 - A BMW 850Ci or 840Ci
Under £20,000 - A BMW 850CSi - BMW M5 - Audi RS2 - Jaguar XJR
Under £30,000 - Porsche 911 C4S - Audi RS4
None of the above take fuel into consideration. If I had to take it into account then I'd be looking at a BMW 330cd

if you are looking for good value then pick a 2000 - 2002 citroen xsara - i once bought one for £2k - it had quite a few toys and a decent engine for the price.
I ran it for a year, nothing went wrong and sold it for about the same as I paid.
It wasn't exactly luxurious but was a good car fot the money.
If I could have any car though it would be a 1960's Citroen DS (though i suspect that might cost a little more and prove slightly less reliable)

Would love a bog standard RS cosworth escort lux in blue. A one that has not been messed about by boy racers.

Quite fancy an alfa but from what I hear they're expensive to run - especially when something needs fixing..
