for forbindenfruit: I think you misunderstood dateline.. A man who laid siege to a one-room Amish schoolhouse told his wife he had molested young children decades ago and left a note saying he had “dreams of molesting again,” state police Commissioner Jeffrey B. Miller said Tuesday.
This says he was a molester not that he was molested.

Inner torment and guilt due to a twisted mind. Most likely he was also molested or abused as a child.

After listening to news reports we can't currently obtain information that he only revealed to his wife. Afternoon reports said he was "avenging his wife". He sounds like a mixed up and tortured individual who hid his inner turmoil well.

Any website giving more than that will be pure speculation at this point.

Our concern should be for the little girls left alive in the hospital and the families of the victims who didn't make it out alive. In addition think of the poor wife and children he left behind who had no clue what he was about to do. Can you imagine the stigma they will have to live with?

This is merely an outgrowth of the high tolerance for porn and violence the American culture continues to perpetuate through TV, movies, video games and music. It is reaching ever- escalating levels. It will not stop until it is no longer profitable for businesses to make money by selling it.

P.S. Forbidnfr...The news said he wasn't Amish. Don't be so quick to judge people who are different. I have known many fine Amish individuals.

I read on the news paper that he left notes for his wife saying he will molest again. He already molested his own two kids. Pschologically speaking- what happened to him 20 yrs. ago. probably was someone- probably (woman) molested him.I don't know his current age but people who haved been dramtically devasted in an early childhood like sexual, verbal, or physical abuse tend to either grow up doing the same thing to their children or others around them or be more protective of there kids and/or 4get like it ever happened. Another reason might be because of this generation portraying females and sex everywhere. Humantrafficking, girls gone wild , and more deal with females. Isn't sad that woman get killed and force into sex for one man's pleasure. And people who support these tatics (like buying the videos)don't think-especially the girls who participate.

P.S.- not going against what ya said but a mere thought-how would the police know if he was molested or not. I seriously doubt he told his wife blantly about it. or anyone who the police asked.

I asked a question like this yesterday. I am as baffled as you are. It seems to be a male problem. I just don't get it. I have lived around the Amish and they are very gentle , kind ,honest ,hard working people. Why anyone would want to hurt their children is beyond me. The only thing we can do is forget about him and pray for the little girls who are still in the hospital ! Go look at the answers I got they are very interesting!!

I think that this men might had some problems in his life and he wanted to get revenge on what might have happen a long time a go, so he trageted young girls who had done nothing to him and took their lives as well as his own life. He should have just killed him self and not any one other then his self.

he suposedly had a 20-year grudge with the school or community. he's not really amish, so i guess he was considered an outsider since he lived in the community. according to the news, they said this was very well planned out.. that's scary.
