by using a scale? (it's different than a balance)

a balance does not give the "weight" of an object (without additional knowledge and calculation), a balance gives the "mass" of an object

you can measure the weight of an object with a spring scale, a strain gage, or other "weight" instruments

1. Find a bowl which is able to float in the water with the object in it
2. Transparent tank with volume (cc or litre) scale marks.

Measure the difference in water volume rise when the object is put inside the bowl. This is equals to weight of the object.
If the difference is 1 litre then the weight of the object is 1 kg.

Hope this will help.

Depending on what the object is, you could look up the density and multiply by the volume.
