certain, 'Unchained Melody', it really is the 1954 unique. That 12 months my chum and that i cycled from Tottenham in N.London to Wolverton in Buckinghamshire and again one Autumn Sunday. very nearly killed ourselves. on the go back adventure, stopped for a drink in a eating position at Dunstable and Jimmy youthful's version of the record became taking section in there on a juke container. The song saved taking section in in my head all some thing of the adventure living house.

Yes, 'Unchained Melody', that's the 1954 original. That year my friend and I cycled from Tottenham in N.London to Wolverton in Buckinghamshire and back one Autumn Sunday. Nearly killed ourselves. On the return journey, stopped for a drink in a cafe at Dunstable and Jimmy Young's version of the record was playing there on a juke box. The tune kept playing in my head all the rest of the journey home.

can't remember the title but it's the one that goes " in the jungle, the mighty jungle the lion sleeps tonight. aaaaaaooooooeeeeoeoeoeoeoeouummummbawaaaaaaaa" when i was younger - about 16 - i used to sing this all the time. my sister who was 2 years older used to hide behind the chair and jump out shaking baby rattles at the aaaaoooooooeeeoeoeoeummumumbawaaaaaaa part. still makes me laugh every time i think of it. have heard the song quite a lot recently and we have explained to our kids why we always laugh at it. My sister is still very good at her part, although she is a little big for hiding behind the chair now!

a song by the Carpenters.
Why do birds suddenly appear
every time
you are near
just like me
they long to be
close to you.......
why do starts fall down
from the sky
every time, you walk by.
just like me, they long to be
close to you
on the day that you were born, the angels got together
and decided to create a dream come true
so they sprinkled moon dust in your hair
and golden starlight in your eyes of blue.
That is why all the girls in town follow you all around
just like me they long to be close to you
waaaaaa.....aaa.aaa.aaaa.aaaaaaa
close to you
waaaaaa.....aaa....a..a....aaaaa
close to you oooo
my Mom used to make me and my two sisters sing that whole song whenever we had company over. Poor people, it is not even like we were any good.

"the lion sleeps tonight" !! when I was in 6th grade (back in the early 70's ), every friday afternoon our teacher (who looked just like Richard Dryfuss back then) let us have free day after lunch, we would all play jacks or cards like crazy 8's and listen to the radio,,,and the song "the lion sleeps tonight" would always be playing. I always wondered what ever happened to one of my most favorite teachers Mr. R_ _ _ ds,,,,,,,

Mashed Potatoes. My girlfriend and I used to dance to it and I swear we looked like a couple of old hens scratching out feed in the chicken pen. Wish I had it on video for a good laugh!
