i dont get this at all im really counfused can someone help?

1. CSC^2X + COT^2X (in terms of cos)

2. cotx (sinx-cscx) (any terms)

3. 1 + tan^2x / cscxsecx (any terms)

btw the ^2 is the power...if anyone can help...thanks!

use angle identities

I don't really remember what the identities were

I remembered that 1 + tan^2x is sec^2x I think...or it's cot^2x

cotx(sinx-cscx) distribute the cotx with the sinx-cscx so you're left with cosx-(cos^2x / sin^2x)

I'm was only 14 when I learned all this...sad for you

well i know that csc= 1/sin^2x and cot= 1/tan^2x, if that helps at all. sorry, that's all can remember.

I can also simplify #2 down to cotx (sin^2x-1)
