If somebody goes "all in" does it mean that...?

I have to go "all in" as well or is it enought that I "call".
Question number two: what if i do not have enough chips to match his "all in" - can i still stay in the game?
And finally: if somebody goes "all in" can the game still go down to the "river" card by card or is that basically the end of the game and all the cards have to be shown? thanks in advance

If someone goes all-in you just have to match his chips, you don't have to go all-in yourself, You just "Call".
You can still call his All-in even if you don't have enough chips.
The game ALWAYS goes to the river if someone goes Allin and it gets called.

Hey

When you are facing an all in bet, you can go all in or call the bet which ever matches or exceeds the initial bet.

You can call an all in bet when you do not have enough chips to match the initial bet just throw all you have out on the table, that's where side pots come in.

With all in bets the hand is played to the end without showing any cards, if you have two players all in and the rest still have chips. The two players who are all in will sit and wait for the river card and the show down but will be excluded from any of the moneys wagered after they have gone all in once again side pots.

If someone goes all in, then you have to match, you do not have to go all in yourself if you have more than enough to match.
If you do not have enough, then most games allow a split pot. You go all in, and the person who went all in first matches you, the excess goes into an overflow pot, that other people can still match. At the end, if you win, you win the first pot only, the excess goes to second place if you like (simply put).
It is only the end of the game, iof everyone left in, has gone all in as well - then all cards are shown.

if someone goes all in, you do not have to call him. If you do not have as many chips as he does, you can still go all in. The game will go down to the river card if you call him. If you do not think you can beat his hand you fold and you will not see the rest of the cards. and of course you will lose the hand.

To answer your first question, if someone goes all in, if you have more chips then him then you can call him. But if you have less chips then he does then you will go all in. I hope this helps

its been pretty much answered but ill elaborate. if yr stack is 1000 n some1 pushes allin for say 300 u can call his bet 4 only 300 or u can raise his bet any amount from 600 -once there's a 300 bet thats now the minimum raise- all the way to u being allin (1000) extra info: if u had like pocket 10s n yr 1000 was somewhat of a shortstack u might want to raise him allin to "isolate" him cuz 10s play well heads up but they dont do so well the more poeple u have in the pot.

1st you only have to call his all in
2nd you will go all in and they will have to match you
3rd in texas hold em when two players are left in the pot and one is all in you both turn your cards over and turn the 5 cards over to decide the winner
