It's seriously been too long since we last saw the Cup in Toronto.

Offensively, I don't think we will fare well. Sundin is getting old and there are no good back-ups.
Defensively, we look good. The Leafs have McCabe, Kaberle, and Kubina which will make it tough for anyone to get past.
Lets hope all that spending pays-off. For sure we get to the playoffs. However, Calgary and Carolina are much better teams. Oh, and for the Sens fans... good luck this year, you will need it!

the Leafs will not even make the playoffs, so why are you talking about them winning the cup. they are a much worst team then last year and they have a really really hard time to win. i know how you Leafs fans are when you win like 5 games in a row, and the Toronto media and press start saying the Leafs are the best, well don't get your hopes up to high.

I'm a big Leafs fan, but I can't see them winning the Cup this year. I do think they have a better team than last season, though. They won't have old guys dragging them down and getting injured, and I still think Sundin is still playing well and will have a great season. I think a lot of it will hinge on how well Raycroft can perform in goal.

Yes, it has seriously been a long time since you last WON the Cup--but you can see it every day at the Hockey Hall of Fame!
All joking aside, just because it's been a long time since you have seen the Cup does not mean you are going to win it. I don't think they have what it takes to get it done.

I'm a Leafs fan, but let's be realistic. Leafs are going to make the playoffs, but I don't think the Cup finals. Wait for Pogge to come into the league, then we'll show them!!

It's a monumental year. Come January it will be 40 years since the Leafs have won a cup. Ouch.

Yeah, not since 1967....It's hit or miss these days with the salary cap in place....like to see a Cup in Toronto but they need to step it up!!!
