If you are concerned about how your baby is doing, get a heartbeat monitor at Babies R US. You can reassure yourself that it has a heartbeat in between Dr visits. If this is your first pregnancy, it is very hard to feel the movements in the beginning. Try not to worry.

Don't worry, you're only 17 weeks, many women don't even feel their babies move at all for a few more weeks yet. It's not until 28 or so weeks that you have to worry about not feeling the baby move every day. At this point even if you haven't felt the baby move for a few days chances are everything's fine. If you're really worried ask your doctor since that's what they're for but it should be just fine.

Yes you are overreacting! Your baby is the size of a cherry and you are expecting to feel every move through your uterus, inner abdominal muscles and outer abdominal muscles? Right now, you should be glad for the little "butterfly" moves that you can feel on occasion. You should feel steady movement until around 23 wks and almost continuous movement around 26-28 wks. But this also depends on your weight and the baby's weight. Plus, some babies move more than others. Don't forget that the baby wants to sleep in uterine sometime too and that is not necessarily the same time that you are. Don't stress unless you have regular hard cramping and more than 1 Tablespoon of blood. Then, call your doctor.

I am 17 1/2 weeks pregnant also. I don't feel the baby move at all. this is my second pregnancy and I know pretty well how fetal movements feel like, the only thing that makes me feel a little bit at easy is that I have a Doppler and I can hear the heart beat every day, but even that, don't give me all the reassurance I need. I've been praying that everything is o.k. with the baby and now I'll do the same for you, thankfully I have an appointment in two days and I can adress my concerns to my Doc. Good luck, God bless and please contact me through yahoo to let me know how things are working for you.

Its OK sweetheart if you are really worried see your doctor they will tell you they can it heart for you just to reassure you and i didn't feel any of my babies until i was about 20 weeks and it felt lie butterflies at first and the further i got on the more i felt it. It is only a worry if you a further on and you do feel you baby moving and the next day you don't feel it move at all they say you should feel your baby move at least 5 times a day not to be correct it does change for or different people one day you may feel it move 3 times a day and the other you may feel it move 20 times a day sometimes their really active and other times the a lazy and sleeping If you are really worried see your doctor but if this is your first just hang on and wait your baby will move just wait you will know it feels like a butterfly and you more than likely say was that one and yes i more than likely was one. Good luck sweetheart and bless you and your baby.

I did not feel movement until 20 wks. (me feeling my partner's belly). It was actually on the day of our ultrasound to find out if it is a boy or a girl. From our experience it happens more and more after 20 wks. I would call the nurses station to relieve your worries but I think you are OK.

. Don't worry too much unless you have felt the baby move and then it stops moving all together for long than 24-48 hours.

At this point the baby is really small. Plus, if your uterus is at all tipped, that could reduce the sensations from its movements. I guarantee you that by week 24 and on, you'll be feeling the baby kick (and may be holding your ribcage worrying that it's going to crack one or dislocate it).

what's your email address. I don't see a link when I click on your name. Or put me on your friends list in messenger.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. They say you may not feel anything until week 22. Anytime between 16 and 22 weeks.
