This took a little research of the weights of different coins, but its pretty accurate.
50lbs of pennies = $ 90.71
50lbs of nickels = $ 226.75
50lbs of dimes = $ 999.90
50lbs of quarters = $ 999.75
50lbs of half-dollars = $ 986.00
50lbs of Sacgawea dollars = $ 2799
Any assortment of those coins would be between $ 90.71 and $ 2799
**I assumed that you have a net weight of 50lbs of coins not including the jar.

It depends on what the type of change is. Typically, at least $100 easy. In just a handful of loose change you can have over $5 so a 50lb jar could have potential.

Depends on the majority of the coinage in the jar. Also, the percentage of the mixture would have to be known.

Obviously that depends upoin the types of coins present. A penny weighs about 3 grams, so 50 lb of them would be about 7566 pennies, total value $75.66.
A quarter weighs about 5.75 grams. 50 lb of them would be about 3947 quarters, total value $986.00.
A dime weighs about 2.3 grams, so 50 lb of them would be about 9869 dimes, total value - guess what - $986.00!
