I'm expecting in February '07 and was wondering what kind of travel systems I can fit in the trunk (if any at all!) of a new VW Beetle.

Will Babies R Us let you take the floor model out to your car to see if it fits folded up?

Thanks!

i'm due march 3, 07 and own a small nissan sentra and i think it's about the same size inside. i'm worried about what car seat will fit and i would like to get a convertible car seat and i was pretty sure none would fit.

i asked around and everyone said i was crazy and i COULD get a car seat that would fit and YES babies r us will let u try all their car seats in ur car. my local babies r us has the best selection but not the best price so i'm going to big lots and wal-mart and other local discount stores and picking out car seats and then going to babies r us to make sure they fit before i buy (from a cheaper store).

ask the sales associates at babies r us what they recommend because believe me MANY women have the same problem you do. they will even make sure it will fit properly in ur small car. u can also take strollers down and push them around, practice folding them, assembling travel systems, and of course put them in ur car.

congrats on the pregnancy!

To be honest with you I would be more worried about how I was going to get the baby in and out! Those things are cute but so tiny! Good luck!

There is a children's product catalog (One Step Ahead) that has a stroller meant for travelling on a plane. It is small and will convert to a full travel system.

They may let you take them out, but they'll certainly accompany you to your vehicle to be sure your not going to drive away with it.
