i currently owe my landlord £600 in rent arrears im paying him back an extra £25 ontop of my rent monthly hes now threatenin me on the phone sayin he wants £50 per month extra not£25 if not i can get out ,my tenancy agreement ran out beginin of sept just wonderin wha my rights are oh an by the way my landlord is my father ive been here 5 yrs

For the future, get everything in writing no matter who it is. Move out, go somewhere else, still pay what you owed. You'll always have problems like this with him. A father who truly cares would understand especially since you are trying to pay him back. He probably thinks he can do things a normal landlord can't do. I had a landlord once who would just walk into the apartment and go to my husband's work and harass him, which is illegal.

I don't know what your right are {because you refer to lbs instead of $'s] in England. But your landlord being your father makes him a jerk in my opinion. Let me qualify that by saying unless you have a history of doing this to him.

well if your aggrement ran out, he has the right to kick u out, but i am pretty sure he has to give u a least a month to go, if the rent you are paying is up to date
