I could live without TV, just as long as I can get lots of news coverage in another way.

Currently I listen to the radio for news, read newspapers, surf the internet and watch TV news everyday, if I'm working from home, then I'll have the TV news channels on all day.

Easily! I rarely watch TV. I could definitely live without it and it is like I already do even though I still have a TV. I can't stand the commercials, propaganda that is constantly being spewed out, and poorly made television shows these days. I found that I have more time on my hands to do more productive things like Yahoo! Answers. Now, if I can get rid of this addiction, I will be able to accomplish all of my goals overnight!

oh defiantly could live without TV spend most time either on the Net or watching DVDs which i can do on me portable DVD player or P.C, and what would i be missing? yet another round of endless"reality, celebrity or quiz" crap Television.they could pull the plug on all stations, and have a blank screen cause half the viewers probably wouldn't know the difference and would sit patiently for there favourite "Z" list celebrity to appear

I am addicted to only a few TV shows and I think I would be ok without my TV. Certainly would open up more time to do other things if I didn't have one :-)

T.V. is wonderful way for seniors to escape from the 4 walls that they are confined in.
