You would have to examine the Canadian constitution and find out. A quick search finds no instance of the word veto, but you might want to read up on it over on wikipedia. I imagine that in some nations the prime minister could veto and in some nations not.

and to the first respondent-GROW UP! She is trying to learn about the world and it is a very interesting question. At least she's asking questions and trying to find out. If somone asks a question in earnest, she should be given a sincere answer.

The president has the right to veto some thing that he thinks is contained in the perfect pastime of the folk. in spite of the indisputable fact that the congress can come again with a 2/3 majority vote and over experience the veto. that could want to point that even the presidents own social gathering would must have vote hostile to him. It has got here about yet hardly.

Well if you base it on American democracy then I don't really know. My assumption is that when there is no president the first issue at hand would be to appoint the Vice President, and if there is no VP, then (I think) it would be the Speaker of the House, and so on and so on. You need a president, who is in the executive branch of government to veto a law, if you are regarding it to the United states democratic system. If I'm wrong anybody please correct me.
