So I want to host a Murder Mystery Party for Halloween but I don't know exactly what to do. It's for me and 7 other people. Does anyone know of any information I can use. I don't really want one of those murder mystery games in a box, I would like it to be basically free except for some supplies. Also I am only 13 and my friends area ll 12 or 13 so nothing to much adult rated but it can be gruesome.

Give them all a character for the night so they come looking the parts as well and could you get a grown up to play the part of the person murdered? that way all 7 of you still get to join in otherwise someone would have to miss out all night as there playing dead? you would also have to maybe get them to pick cards and on one of the cards is saying its you - so one person knows there the murderer and doesn't tell the others? leave clues around your house which point to this person but not in obvious ways, I hope that makes sense to you.

If you like the online game, then you may want to buy a game a host it yourself.

No. But I went to a murder mystery dinner on a ship. It'll take a lot of work, practice and lots of effort to get it right. You may be able to hire someone to help you with it. Otherwise, it may be a flop.

Why not have a scavenger hunt around your neighborhood instead.?? Your Mom can get a piece of paper and write down ten (10) things for you guys and gals to collect from different neighbors,,,.........Like girls go on the right hand side of the street...........boys go on the left............Everyone will have at least two things to ask from each house (1) a plastic spoon, and a piece of paper............anykind..........(2) an old sock, and a pencil...............(3) a rubberband, and a paper plate....(4) a bag of chips, and a quarter (5) a paper cup. and a bar of soap
(6) a crayon, and a clothes pin ....(7) a plastic ruler, and some dog food........(8) 1 die (dice) , and a headband....(9) an old deck of cards. and a baby bottle..(10) an old toothbrush, and a shoestring.......................What you do is to have the same items for a boy and a girl...............If there are going to be 8 of you, then 1 boy and 1` girl have the same items to get from the house on their side of the street...........Like my ten (10) examples I gave are for 1 boy and 1 girl ............that way when they are done collecting their 10 items, they can come back and compare who got the most...............You can make one of the 10 items on someones paper a halloween piece of candy......Be fair........
Usually only collect normal everyday household item, and there are thousands of them... Just a thought !! You know, if there are 4 boys and 4 girls, then there will be a total of 8 papers to work from.............Your Mom will know.

really kill someone and you'll have a real murder mystery, and your friends could get involved in interrogations with police and such.
