YES! I am a web designer, and i have been doing it for a year, i do fansites. My old site was http://fansites.hollywood.com/~hdgalaxy/ but Freewebs.com is a GREAT start! They have easy tools and buttons..
If you are talking about HTML then it's easy to find a host! Hollywood.com and ifan.org works!
Then IF you get 200 hits a day or more you get your own name! www.yourname.com :) It's alot of work but it is possible!!

Not that I have found. To have your own Domain name someone has to pay for it, there is a site that 'says for $25 per year. you can have a site plus the cost of the domain name.. i.e. the usual... I am not responsible etc... but here is the address..

No. If you want your own domain name you would have to buy it. You can go to godaddy.com and check it out.
They usually charge like $3.00/yr for the name. Then you have to host your site. If you do not have servers than you would have to go through a hosting company.
Otherwise try a free geocities.com website. Good luck.

Check out dyndns.org. They'll let you register a machine name of your choosing, with a certain selection of domain names. This may well be fine for your purposes. Then, set up your own machine as a webserver, and you're all set.

Well, most of the homepages you can make online are free, but most of them got banners & ads on it.
I'd try yahoo 360 or Y! geocities, it's one of the easiest ways

That's what I picked up. I hope that helps. If it doesn't, just do a web search. There are tons of website makers out there.

run a webserver from your own pc. You will have to leave the computer on, and the address will be your IP adress (with http:// in front)
