There are millions of assaults, thefts, rapes, and other crimes, other than the relatively rare murders, at schools across the country.
I agree...schools are anything but safe places. Yet another reason to homeschool (besides the most important: a better education for your kids!).

Statically school crimes have dropped quite a bit in the last decade, it's just the media hypes violence up way too much and freaks people out. And since the media hypes it up, it makes these loonies who do shoot up the schools feel important because they are being talked about in the media. It's a circle of sadness.

That grow to be interior the states. not interior the united kingdom. the place i'm from and stay in. nicely, colleges are the main secure place for toddlers, they are in a position to get look after there, help etc. you will get that at dwelling house yet not lots whilst your mom and dad are extremely busy etc. little ones in college may additionally get some advice from the lecturers, and oftentimes, the lecturers care approximately them alot. Thats why everybody continues to be asserting colleges arethe maximum secure place for toddlers to be. There are like tens of millions in one usa and it is not prevalent issues take place all of the time to one college.

Having worked in a school system, and seen or heard of most of the stuff you discribe, yeah, I do not agree they are the safest place in the world, but hey what do you want home schooling for everyone? Choices have to be made.

I understand how you feel. Schools are not safe. Depending on where you live (if it's a high-crime area or not) schools vary. Some are fairly good, but a lot are bad. I know several kids that are scared to go to school!

Have you personally witnessed any of the events you described. Think of how many millions of school children there are. Now, think about how few actual violent events have taken place. Get the picture?

The only reason you think those happen a lot is because the media makes a big deal about it. They don't happen that much.
