I was always able to increase my speed by intermittent running; jogging as normal, then every eighth of a mile sprint for 10 seconds. You can vary the times and distance but I think you get the point.

Also cross train, I lifted weights against the track coaches advice and actually found it helped. I was on the football team and wanted to keep my strength in the off season I am old they used to not like weight training for anything but fooball

And windsprints and good diet, tear them up

cross training.
i saw the best improvements in my running times when I started biking to school every day. swimming is also good.

do suisides... they increase your acceleration...
