Not really. I look at the subject question first & then I choose to decide if I want to answer based on that & any following details on the main page.
However, I have been inclined to click on a question, or several, that I had no interest in answering just because the avatar was appealing to me. Some I changed my mind & responded to. Others, I didn't.
I do like the icons much better than the gray boxes though & I'd rather see a photo or something else instead.

No. I still answer the questions I like but the ones with my avatars make me "feel" like I know the person a little more. Even though it may be a totally made up nothing like them avatar. But then a picture could be of just anyone and not them either.

I'll answer questions that I find interesting in some way, Avatars only attract me to look at peoples profiles.

I had not noticed that there was an avatar until you mentioned it. This means I was answering the question because I fell I have the answer for it.

I kno this is wierd but having a avatar makes me want 2 answer a question more. But it also depends on the question.

Not really. I will occasionally answer an question if an avatar looks just like mine (just so I can make that point in my answer) and after you've done this enough, you can begin to place certian avatars in certian age brackets (But its an imperfect science)

not really. some are interesting, but in the question list I dont even notice the avatars for the most part.
I chose questions mostly by going to sections that interest me at the time.

No, I answer the questions which appoeals to me, the avatar is meaningless to me.
