You're going to die of something anyway.
I eat what I like and enjoy life.
Why torture yourself with all these fads?

Well, too much of anything is bad, healthwise. One should always opt for moderation. Those three things might be okay (with the exception of sugar... the lesser the better) if you eat a little of it. For example, in the case of meat, a 4 ounce steak is really good for you. It provides a lot of vitamins and even some vitamins that aren't available in a plant-based diet. It's when people start consuming 12 oz + steaks when things get bad.
Remember, everything is good in moderation.

As with all things, they're only bad in excessive quantities.
If humans were not supposed to eat meat, we would not have the teeth able to chew it, nor a stomach able to digest it. Meat provides you with Iron, which is good for your blood, protein and various trace elements all necessary to keep our bodies running healthily.
Dairy products contain fat which, despite what all the health people are trying to tell us, is VITAL for our bodies to function properly - it's fat that forms the insulating sheath around nerves. Without that we would be unable to move because all the nerve signals would just fire off everywhere and not reach where they were supposed to. Normal fat tissue around the body also stores sugars that we don't use immediately for use later. Without that store, we'd be breaking down muscles to use for energy every time we exercised. Dairy products also contain calcium which is important for teeth and bone development and strength.
Sugar is bad in large quantities, as it contributes to making you fatter, but sugar is far better for us than all the artificial sweetners you find in "diet" products. At least our digestive systems were designed to break down natural sugars. Although our bodies do break down sweetners, it's a much harder process.
Yes there are alternatives, but so long as all these things are eaten in moderation combined with fruit and vegetables etc... it's fine. It's far better for our bodies to have a varied diet that gives us all we need (trace minerals and such) than a restrictive diet where we may get overloaded on some things and not get enough of others.

No. Meat, dairy and sugar are not bad for you. Read on.
Meat. There is a lot of rubbish meat about. I would cite burgers from fast-food outlets, along with supermarket mince beef, as prime sources of poor meat. Also, packeted microwaveable meat meals can be dubious. I would advise you to buy your meat from an independant butcher, rather than a supermarket, although, that being said, some of the meat that I buy frozen from Somerfields is very good. The problem is, I am trained to recognise good meat (I'm a chef). Do you cook - from fresh?
Vegetarians manage to live without meat (and, I would add, I have more vegetarian food on my menu than meat based dishes). Nevertheless, there are some amino acids (protein derivatives) that can only be obtained from flesh - fish will suffice, and there is an ongoing debate occuring in the Nutrition school of thought apropos the validity of the pure vegetarian diet. Also, meat and fish provides a mineral known as haem iron, that cannot be obtained from a purely vegetarian regime, even though a lot of vegetables are very rich in iron.
In short, eat meat. Cook it yourself, if you can. If you have to use prepared meat products, then use those made by Birds Eye - they are the best I have come across and I use them myself.
Dairy. Cheese is excellent food. You get more protein from Cheese than from a lot of meats. You will also get fats from cheese and milk, and you need fats, for the purpose of energy, and also to provide the satisfaction factor in your meal. Too much fat is bad, but you are more likely to get that from fast-food burgers and fast-food fried chicken that from decent cheeses such as Cheddar, Cheshire and Red Leicester.
Sugar. A villain in food. Carbonated drinks, such as the various colas. along with lemonades, orangeades, cream soda and the like are full of added sugar. A spoonful of sugar in your tea or coffee should not cause any problems. I could go into the vagaries of the various forms of sugars - fructose, sucrose etc, but itis getting late and this response is getting too long.
I eat red meat once weekly, white meat, once weekly, and fish, once wekly. The rest of my meals are vegetarian. This is a decent balanced diet.

Lol! you do not prefer meat to stay to tell the story in any respect. yet of course you already understand that. Meat would not have something which you would be unable to get from vegetables, beans, and grains. Edit: it rather is advisable to think of concerning to the crow's answer. Has being a vegetarian affected your visual allure? I mean have you ever often been a fowl or did you become one after starting to be veggie? :P Lol lol lol!!!!! All vegetarians i understand seem as typical as human beings, if not extra valuable and fit. Edit 2: do not exchange a element Michael. you're an exceptionally handsome fowl!!! ;D

Meat is healthy provided it hasn't been loaded up with antibiotics. In fact, there are certain nutrients that we can only obtain from meat, particularly red meat.
Dairy has its pros and cons. If you are allergic to dairy products, then it's obviously unhealthy to eat them. As women age (40's and 50's) some things in dairy products can reduce thyroid function (which is on the downswing as it is during those time periods).
Sugar really is a baddy. Research has shown that it does a number on the immune system, it revs your pancreas to secrete insulin in order to store the excess sugar ingested, it is a big factor in weight gain and has a real negative impact on dental health.
However, too much red meat clogs the arteries with fat and too much of anything puts on weight. Moderation is key.

Many common natural remedies are claimed to have blood sugar lowering properties that make them useful for people with or at high risk of diabetes. Learn here https://tr.im/iaHqZ
A number of clinical studies have been carried out in recent years that show potential links between herbal therapies and improved blood glucose control, which has led to an increase in people with diabetes using these more 'natural' ingredients to help manage their condition.

We need all these things in our diet, or at least, the nutriments they provide. The trouble is , is that many of us eat too much of any one of these things which cause BIG problems.
Too much meat....
meat is a 1st. class protein. We do not need more than a small amount of protein a day unless you are still growing, or you are an athlete/sportsperson. Unused protein in the body turns to fat!
Too much dairy products....will cause a high cholesterol level which will lead to high blood pressure, fat around the liver, heart problems etc.
Too much sugar.... weight gain, which can lead to obesity, varicose veins, diabetes, heart problems
So, these things in SMALL doses, and PLENTY of fruit vegetables and wheat/wholegrain /roughage as these will do no damage.

Humans are designed to live on a mixed diet. Our bodies can adapt to quite a range of diets provided we get a reasonable balance of protein, energy, vitamins and minerals.
If you leave meat, dairy foods and fish out of your diet, you need alternative sources of protein and the other nutrients these provide. That's why vegans eat a lot of nuts, beans and mushrooms.
There are no "good foods" and no "bad foods". Eating a little of everything will ensure a balanced diet. Eating too much of one thing (whether this is meat, fat, sugar of celery) will cause problems.

Well. . . too much of anything isnt good for you. When it comes to meat, its okay to eat an alternative, but you need a dietary source of protein for you body to function properly.
Dairy, well this too can be substituted, however you will need to find a source of calcium, because it is another necessary supplement important for your bones and such thing.
Sugar, well that can totally be eliminated! high levels of sugar intake can cause diabetes. The less you have, the better off you are. Foods that are high in carbohydrates, starches, give your body the necessary glucose it needs to maintain proper function.
