my daughter has tonsillitis and now I think I have it. Just wondering if it would have any affect on my baby. I have no fever yet just sore throat. I go to docs on friday but some info would be comforting to know. Thanks

Gargle often with salt water, the salt will kill any infection that you have in your throat plus it will feel better until you can get to the doctors.

You and your baby should be fine with a little virus unless you get an extremely high fever. Since you will be going to the doctor pretty soon I don't see any cause for alarm. However, if you do develop a high fever I would contact the dr's office.

keep an eye on yourself since you already have an appt. if you start to spike a fever or fear that it could be strep.. go to the ER right away..other than that..just take it easy and be careful and rest..

Tonsiltis should not affect your baby, but antibiotics might, try gargling with an antiseptic solution.
