So i took my car to the dealership to get repaired and I pick it up and it has a dint and a scratch on the back so I told the manager and they said they would fix it. I took it to their body shop today and they said it won't be ready until friday. wtf. Shouldn't i be a top priority considering they're the ones that damaged my car. So then I called the dealership and told them they had to give me a temp. car since Iwill be without a car until friday they said they didn't have anymore cars to lend and they were sorry. That's it shouldn't they have helped me more than that. This is unacceptable behavior isn't it?

So, when exactly did they plan to tell you they dingged your car?

You had to find it for yourself didn't you. That is really crappy!

I would speak to the General Manager of the whole dealership and complain until I was green in the face!

And demand that my car be a priority to fix over every car there and also get a rental for FREE!

I'd be so demanding, but assertive not "R"itchy (Substitute the R for a "B").

They'd be detailing my car top to bottom and getting all the dings out! Free of charge!

I'd take it to the top if I was you, the last thing they want is to make an issue over this bad publicity can kill their reputation.

Better be sure that's all they did to your car that was bad. Dealerships have a way of tearing up your car so you come back for repairs often. Probably so you buy a NEW car from them. It is a good idea to find a good repair garage you can take it to where the owner is honest and guarantees his work.

If they have no cars available to loan out you should have gotten a rental instead. At their cost, not yours. Threaten to sue if they don't pay for a rental that is similar to yours. Be prepared to take the dealership to small claims court if they don't. They have insurance to pay for this sort of thing. The odds are they are trying to avoid filing a claim (and get a rate hike for it.)

See a lawyer if you need some more serious advise on how to proceed. Your lawyer can send a letter that will get their attention.

That's car dealer for you, I have never found one ever that actually cares about their customers needs and happiness. They are all in it to scam as much money from you as possible.

you could hire a car and then try to claim back the cost of that, through the court if needed, but that would be a huge chunk of time gone so it's best just to call them names behind their backs and look to find a new dealership. even if your warranty needs your car to go to a main dealer, there will be another one somewhere

Leagaly I believe they have to either give you a loaner car or pay for the rental of one. If I were you I would call them back up and tell them either they give you a car or pay for the rental or you will be forced to take them to court for loss of work due to not being able to se you car because of thier mess up. Usually the threat of court is enough to get them to give you a rental. Also check into fileing a complaint with your Better Business Buero. They aare also a helpful tool in resolving disputes.

in my opinion..absolutely obsurd and yeah, they should have helped more and came up with a lender car.. most dealerships will use used cars for additional loaner cars for these types of incidents. i can understand they might not be able to get it done right away..but yes, it is their responsibility to provide a loaner car..and such.
go in there and put up a fuss and ask to talk to a manger..

Yeah that is pretty messed up, maybe you should call them and demand that they rent you a car from another rental company at their expense . It is their fault you are being inconvienenced

Absolutely, tell them you are going to file a claim with your insurance company and tell them to go after their insurance. If that doesn't work, tell them your attorney will be contacting theirs. Keep going up the ladder. Go to his boss and his boss, until you get a rental. I wouldn't settle until I have a rental car.

Yes it is unacceptable. Call them and tell them that they need to provide you with a car ...even if they have to get it through a rental agency and they foot the bill.
