My Gateway EV700 is always beeping when I access the Internet and when certain sites appear on the web browser (via Myspace.com, Youtube.com, and many similar sites.) I don't know when my last virus scan was but I'm afraid to download any software from the Internet because it might make the problem even worse. If you know any sites or a certain software than can help me....

AVG antivirus software is available free, and it is from a trusted site.

For free, I'd download AVG antivirus and Ad-Aware antispyware. Both are free, both work very well, and either is better than nothing.

google and download firefox, it comes with an anti-virus along with other gOOgle products.. Its free and firefox is the best browser out there.
