I'm not a GM tech, but I've never heard of and l-82 or l-88 engine for that year.
L-82's were from the late 70's to early 80's
L-88's were from the late 60's (427 c.i.)
They were always listed under engine options, RPO codes .
Your '88 has a 350. There were no other options for that year, so no RPO codes were not listed listed in the options sheet. (though some might have had extra emissions controls for California)
Convertibles were rated at 240 hp, and coupes 245 hp.
Check your VIN number; there are three suffixes which might help you out.
ZMA = automatic transmission
ZMC = manual transmission with oil cooler
ZMD = automatic transmission with oil cooler
But it's the body style that gives away the hp rating.
(The coupe's low restriction exhaust accounted for the 5 extra hp. It was considered too loud for the convertibles, so they have higher restriction mufflers to quiet them.)

Don't fret about it!. You have neither. All 1988 Corvettes had L-98 engines, even the Callaway versions.
