The best way i've heard of removing chewing gum is by freezing the gum by applying ice to it or putting the item in the freezer, and then trying to chip the frozen gum off. Hope it works....

Freeze the dress and using a knife (not too sharp or you will cut the dress) which you have also had in the freezer try and prize the gum off, if there is some residue then buy a stain buster from your local supermarket.

placed an ice cube on the gum and notice if it is going to pop out. it may chip off as quickly because it is frozen. If the gown shirt is white, use a small volume of bleach interior the water. in case you at the instant are not soft making use of bleach, practice first easy dish cleansing soap directly to the stain and enable it sit down for some hours earlier working the shirt contained in the direction of the wash lower back.

Remove as much of it as you can (some people swear by using a plastic bag to pick up the gum: evidently, the gum will adhere to the plastic). Then apply ice cubes to the gum still remaining on the shirt to freeze it: the gum becomes easy to pick out of

peanut butter gets gum out off clothes, hair and lots of other places gum gets stuck. you may have a small greasy spot on fabric from the oil in the PB but stain removers will take that out also.

You can try putting your dress in the freezer! I know it sounds weird, but the cold air helps to harden the gum and make it easier to get out. It's sure worth a try! Good luck.

Put it in the freezer, the gum will freeze and when you take it out you can just pick it off, a bit gross but it'll have to be done!

Try sitting an ice cube on spot until it hardens, if that dosen't work, there are a couple of products on the market, made specifically for this issue, one is called Goo Gone, and another is called Oops! First one can be found on laundry aisle, second can be found in paint dept.
If none of these work, try looking at web site called www.ehow.com has solutions on how to accomplish many different tasks!!!
GOOD LUCK!!!!

well as some people have said you could freeze it off but you can also use vinegar this might make your clothes smelly for one wash but its worth it if you get it out, the acid in vinegar Burns off the oils that are sticking to your cloths this will reduce the oils so it will become less sticky and then it should come off allot essayer. with ice it is the same principal it freezes the oils but if you frizz them while they are stuck to your cloths it might take that off to. some people say that tooth paste does the same job as the vinegar but it smells better and does not make your hands smell ether

freezing is good. Peanut butter works too, but may leave grease which you will have to remove before you wash the dress. You can buy a stain devil at the supermarket which removes chewing gum
