Most of the time yes. I sprained my ankle running a few years ago. I was on an ankle brace for about 3 months. Once I started getting back into running, I ran faster than ever after a couple months of training. Till this day I have no problems with my ankle and can't even remember which ankle I actually sprained. Good Luck, I know it sucks to get injured and you will be back to normal sooner than you think.

it depends.. yes it will heal, but that doesn't mean it won't be a little weaker. it depends on how bad the sprain was and how you reheal and rehabilitate.
some people it bothers more and some it doesn't.. the best bet is to make sure you really strengthen it up after you're off crutches and such... a lot of people just go full force into stuff and it never really fully heals b/c of the lost strength and it puts the body part under more strain.
the most amount of problems you'd have with it is like an arithritic type pain during moist weather or an ability to re-inure easily.

I badly sprained my ankle about 3 weeks ago. I was in a hurry going down the stairs, lost my balance and landed on a bad side of my left foot, causing my left ankle to be stretched going on the inside. The first 48 hours were excruciating and the pain was un-believable. I've never had a serious ankle injury before.
So I immediately treated it using the RICE method. The following day, the bruising and swelling were so horrible. I found out that I got a second degree sprain and immediately panicked after that. I had a football game on that week and it been looking forward to it because I've been training for rt. I had teammates that had similar injuries and it took them months to fully recover, some of them stopped playing altogether. So I kinda had a short-term depression because I can't imagine myself not being able to run and play sports anymore.
Because I was so desperate to recover again, I contacted a lot of people that I know who do sports and asked them if they had similar injuries. One friend of mine, from the boy's football team in my university, told me about H.E.M. Ankle Rehab. I got a copy 4 days after I got injured. I immediately read and followed what was instructed and felt improvement on the first day. I was able to walk a bit, but I was in pain.
A couple of days after that, the swelling and bruising were subsid-ing significantly and on the fourth day, I was walking comfortably again. Although I've had felt a bit of stiffness, I continued doing what was instructed. My sister was surprised that I have recovered this fast. I told her about this book and was shocked on how effective the procedures were. I'm just so happy that this book was shared to me and how effective it is.
Heal your ankle fully & fast?

I sprained my ankle in high school. I'm now 29. I've since sprained it 3 or 4 times. The ankle I sprained is much weaker than my other one and MUCH more prone to additional sprains. Sorry!

I heard sprains are worst for your muscles than broken bones.
Your ankle will get better but it may not be 100% but your ankle should still be fine

Yes, it will eventually heal. Trust me, I've had plenty of sprains in my life. Sometimes exercising more will also contribute to helping sprains to heal.

Sorry, man, the only way to ever become as explosive and quick as you once were after you break/stretch/tear anything in your ankle region is to juice it up. Obviously that comes with problems of its own, but its the best and only way to come back 100% and do so quickly. Just go to your nearest gym and look for the biggest guy there...good luck, dude.

If you take care of it by staying off it and icing it, it should heal all the way. However, if you keep walking on it and wear the wrong shoes, and don't do strengthening exercises, it may always be weak and turn easily.
