If people evolved from apes, why are there still apes?? and if all's fair in love and war, does that mean cheating and killing is acceptable??

We evolved from apes due to Darwin's theory of natural selection, that we obtained some qualities through time which made us what we are now, but we didn't technically come from apes. We were similar to apes I guess in a way and evolved to what we are now, so hat explains why there are apes now. All's fair in love and war is a phrase I still don't quite understand and I hope someone will be able to lol. No killing is not acceptable neither is cheating, but the rules and guidlines set for a relationship are fair to each spouse, and in war pretty much has no rules so everything is fair to each side. Maybe that's it. Holla Peace ~1~

Ever heard of the "Missing Link" That is the being supposed to have evolved from apes that eventually went on to become humans as we know them today. If the ape did not evolve into the link, it would not go on to evolve into human.
"All in love and war is fair" is not meant to be taken as permission to do anything. It is poetry only.

In evolving from apes, we only killed off the other near-human species. There are 14 extinct homo species, leaving one one, homo sapiens. The gorillas and chimps and bonobos are different enough and selective enough about their preferred habitat to escape genocide from mankind as it evolved.

In some cultures, cheating and killing is acceptable because all is fair in love and war. King David sent a warrior off on a dangerous, deadly assignment because he coveted the man's wife. The Roman Emperess Livia killed off any potential emporers who displeased her. It appears that John Kerry wooed a wealthy widow in order to run for President with a lot of money behind him. The current president rattled a lot of sabres in order to get re-elected.

So cheating and killing still go on and are sometimes acceptable.

People and apes evolved from a common ancestor. We evolved our way and the great apes evolved theirs. As for the other question well it depends whether you agree with the premise. I do not.

Hummmmmm....well gorilla's are monogamous so I guess we did not evolve from them.
Chimps are not, so I guess cheating and killing are acceptable ior fair in the game of love and war.
Makes sense to me anyway....We are all just a bunch of monkey's

Its foolish to assume that evolution (though red in tooth and claw mostly) always just wipes out every other species than the fittest.
You and you rcousind both evolved from your grandpa and grandma. If your cousin drinks and has sex as a lifestyle and goal in life, why does he exist? Its like that I think mostly.

I do not believe in evolution. Even the scientists admit there are too many holes in the theories and it cannot be proven. "All fair in love and war" is mans theory too. I do not beleive cheating or killing is acceptable...that is what I believe.

JUST BECAUSE A SPECIES EVOLVES DOES NOT MEAN THAT THE ORIGINAL SPECIES IS EXTINCT. IF THAT WERE TRUE FROGS WOULD BE BORN FROGS NOT TADPOLES. THE YING AND YANG EVEN EVERYTHING YOU CANNOT HAVE LIGHT WITHOUT DARK SOUND WITHOUT SILENCE FEAST WITHOUT FAMINE OR LOVE WITHOUT HATE
