Ever heard "Time in a Bottle" by Jim Croce played at a funeral? It will break your heart. Another good cry -- "Go Rest High on that Mountain" by Vince Gill will get the tears flowing and is absolutely unforgettable at a funeral. I've also heard "Amazing Grace" done when it was very moving.
I personally would want "Peace in the Valley" by Elvis Presley. It's awesome, timeless, and not your usual dirge.

I dislike most funeral songs. If my church would play it--and they probably would--I'd like "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God" played at mine. However, it was written by Martin Luther, who's no great friend of the Roman Catholic Church.
