If it wasn't for Orton's backstage behavior, the belt would be on him right now and we wouldn't have to be subjected to Cena versus Edge week after week.
Orton's antics are well rumored and his rehabilitation is clouded in mystery. Supposedly spending his 60 day suspension in an anger management course where he received in patient treatment.... he returned from his suspension early, but the backstage behavior is rumored to still exist.
It is obvious to anyone that Orton's current record is because of the fact that he is still under punishment. The failed drug test didn't help matters. They gave him the win at Unforgiven... a spectacular win, but that was all negated the next night with a humiliating loss. I think there was a loss 2 weeks in a row.
He is strong and capable and it was obvious that he needed to grow up. I think once he marries his fiancee, things should settle down for him. I don't blame him entirely for his behavior. The silly young things throwing themselves at his feet because he looks so good probably helped egg his ego into the wrong direction. In the end though, he has to be accountable.

I think that if Randy's ego wasn't so big and if he didn't believe that his shyt was the best that he would be a champion. The WWE has given him push after push after push but to no evail.
IMO, there are more talented wrestlers than Randy but they are not getting the push that Randy is getting. For whatever reason the WWE thinks that Randy is going to be that next great generation star like The Rock and sadly Randy is not!

He's a wrestling God, to paraphrase Bradshaw. His father Cowboy Bob Orton was great too. One of the few wrestlers worth paying to see today.

I never liked the "legend killer" gimmic. I find him a mediochre stage personality at best and, when I take reports of his behavior in the locker room into account, an absolute pig at worst.
Yes, the man can wrestle. But you need more than that to get anywhere in the WWE.

I think if his ego where any larger he wouldn't be able to wrestle indoors anymore for his head wouldn't fit through the door.
He has the ability wrestle well, but he needs to focus more on the art of wrestling and less on being "the Legend Killer".
