how do you remove a seat on a 1981 honda goldwing?

Allen bolt on either side of the seat, behind the saddle bags.

Remove the saddlebag lids and you will see a notch cut into the inside wall where a long Allen wrench will fit. Remove the bolts on either side and slide the seat back while lifting slightly from the rear.


Observe how the parts come out because the left side is also the catch to slide the seat forward or back.

The seat adjuster lever on the left side of the seat - remove that allen head bolt. Remove the allen head bolt on the right side. Lift the rear of seat, off of the bike.
