I have a texturizer in my hair now, and my stylist says I should do a wave noveau. I don't want lye in my hair.

Hi, I don;t know what type of look you are going for. If you are young I would not suggest a jheri curl, not to offend but that's really for another generation. If you are older that may be okay. As far as I know a texturizer is the same as using a relaxer, just less time... I'm not 100% sure of the difference between jheri curl and wave nouveau. If you were getting it texturized before, maybe you want a curly look. What type of texture is your natural hair? Maybe you can just use your natural texture. I went back to natural and my hair is healthier and more beautiful than it ever was with chemicals...

I think "wave nouveau" is just another name for the Jerry Curl - maybe to try and make it sound more sophisticated.

I wouldn't advise you to go for it. It's very greasy-looking. Oh, and get a new stylist. ;)
