Do you want to see things to help you decide if you want to move here? Of course it all depends on what you like but here are a few ideas to get a flavor of the area. Eat, eat and eat. The food is the best thing about the city by the bay. Check out the farmer's market at the Ferry Building on a Saturday. Wander up through Fishermen's Wharf and keep going right up through the Marina and check out the GG bridge. Wander around GG Park. Check out the De Young and Stow Lake and hit Haight Ashbury. Visit Chinatown and North Beach and SOMA. Now cruise down the coast all the way to Carmel. Cut inland and check out San Jose. Hit the burbs of Pleasanton and Walnut Creek. Head up to Napa and cut over to Healdsburg and the Russian River. Keep heading west and see Bodega Bay and Point Reyes. Wander around Sausalito and catch the ferry back to the City. Catch a show in the theater district. Wander the shopping district around Union Square. SF has little seasonal variance. Jan to March can be wet but the summer fog is pretty chilly. If you're cold head inland or south. Chat with the locals and see what you think. You'll have barely scratched the surface. Maybe on Day 2 you can check out Stanford or UC Berkeley or Ocean Beach or Japantown or the mission or.....
