It is now much harder for someone outside of the EU to find work in the UK as the company would have to prove that they could not have given the job to an EU citizen. My advice would be to find those who have followed a similar path and are now possibly struggling to find work and listen to what they have to say. If you still want to go ahead then approach the embassy like everyone else. Unfortunately the attitudes above are similar to those that you may face when you arrive.

You will not get many kind answers on here as you can see already. A lot of people in the UK think that there are enough immigrants here already. The UK is not paved with gold. We have poverty and homelessness, and we have unemployment which a lot blame on cheap foreign labour. The wages over here are better than in India, but the cost of living also reflects. We have fully qualified University students who cannot get work. A lot of work is being outsourced to Places like India and it leaves a certain resentment for those that lose their jobs here in the UK. I see racism on the increase, and it is often directed toward immigrants and their families just because they are immigrants. So my friend think it all out carefully before you jump in. The landing here is not as soft as you may think.
Good luck.

I am not a UK citizen, but it would appear to me that the easiest way to get a visa anywhere would be to apply for one... (That's how I got into Russia last year :-)

Assuming that your question is incomplete, and you are in fact looking for a visa that allows you to work or something similar, I suggest that you check out this link:

:-)

Ps: (to some previous repliers) If you think the UK is overcrowded with immigrants, you need to spend some time in Australia (in particular in Sydney).

Getting a visa is already too easy !

Go to your British Embassy or Consulate and make an application.

If you tell them you'll have no where to stay and no job to come to - they will arrange for furnished accommodation and unemployment payments for you here (like they do for all immigrants) !!

The EASY way to get a visa is to get married to a British citizen.

Otherwise apply for a visa the same way everyone else does.

Jump On the Fooking boat like all the rest of them, then when you see the white cliff's of Dover, there will be a big painted sign on them. It will read "PISS OFF WERE FULL".
