who here if fed uo of the pad we have instead of a propper mouse???? isnt it so awkward?? can i disable it?

when i use a usb mouse this bloody thing still works and its even more annoying cuz it does stuff of its own accord

The mouse or touchpad control panel has an option to turn it off. There may also be a button in the notification area.

Yes, you can disable it (though you don't really need too). I did and use a wireless, laser mouse (it overrides the mouse pad).

I have big hands and that little pad was annoying.

I hate laptops. They suck.
Oh yeah to disable go to start-settings-mouse and you should be able to disable the pad from there.

Buy a mouse & use it if you don't like the touch pad.
Most touch pads can be disabled.

I have the little TrackPoint on my ThinkPad which I've come to love. I also have a regular USB mouse for when I'm at my desk.

yes you can. Click START/CONTROL PANEL
Then click, ""PRINTERS & OTHER hARDWARE"" icon.
Click on the ""MOUSE" icon. Select In Mouse Properties window,
""TOUCH PAD ON/OFF"". Click ""DISABLE"'
and then OK. Thats it. You are on Mouse Control now!

i had a hp (it broken now) but i just hit a button and it turrned off the pad, then i used a usb laser mouse.
