I loved New Moon. And while it is true that Edward does a vanishing act for a couple of hundred pages or so...it is still a good book. I don't know that I'd define it as a cliff hanger. You know there will be more in the series (definitely two I believe) so the book has some resolution...but not too much...or there would be no reason to continue on with the series :)

My friend read New Moon and she told me it was soooooooo good. Edward is reasonably hateable in there because of what he does to Bella but I think there wasn't a cliff hanger. Nevertheless she told me it was really good but Twilight was better becasue there is more Edward/Bella action.
