Living here I would swear it is Maine. But over all the coldest state is Alaska due to part of it being in the arctic circle. However much of Alaska is actually warmer than states such as Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Idaho, the Dakotas, and the rest of the plains states.

The state with the coldest city is Minnesota. The city is International Falls. Yearly it gets the record for coldest temperature. So if you are looking for lowest temperature its MN. However if you are looking for a median temp its probably Maine, Vermont or New Hampshire.
