y= 2x + 1....that is if you want to make y the subject of the equation but if you want x to be the subject of the equation
then it will be: x= (y-1)/2

Either add 1 so that y=2x+1, or divide by 2 so that x=(y-1)/2.

What dou you mean by rearrange?

y-1=2x

Solve for y

Add 1 to both sides

y = 2x + 1

solve for x

Divide both sides by 2

(y - 1)/2 = x

if you are solving for "x" you could divide both side by 2 to get (y-1) / 2=x
if you are solving for "y" you could add 1 to both sides to get y=2x+1

slope intercept form
y-1=2x
