Sort of.

It is the lottery ticket mentality. They think they are voting for a chance to be represented by republicans.

Definately a bit misguided.

Despite the popular idea, the gop dont represent the rich especially when u relize that the rich are not all gop.

In the last 35-45 years... democrats have had at least 40% & durign a couple of decades up to 60% of all wealth.

Despite the view, some of the richest in the world are not republicans..

GOP - is not about rich, but about enabling one to become wealthy or succesfull. Reduce taxes (not eliminate)

Demo - is about social change - usualy good stuff.
Always for increase taxes - which always hurts the poor even when it targets the rich.

The negative view:(wrong)
GOP - about the rich.
DEMO- actually about keeping people down.

Republicans represent all working people, rich and poor.
Don't worry about the poor Republicans, They will work hard, save, invest, and will end up having good lives.
The Democrats represent the idle rich and welfare people.

What do you have against a rich person. Is it that you are a stupid poor slob so you can't stand someone that made something of themselves and got rich doing it. I suppose you want to tax a rich person to your level so it will make you feel like more of a man. huh.

Strange question. SFAIK 90% of donations to the republicans come from poor people, while 90% of donations to the Dems come from milionaires.
Seems to me that it is the Dems who are the rich guy's party. people like kennedy or Kerry never worked a day in their lives, and never paid a dollar in taxes either. No wonder they oppose tax cuts- after all, why should they care? they are not the ones who pay.
Come to think f it, does your question not refer to the plantation folks who keep voting for the Dems?

Maybe not stupid, exactly...

Maybe just overly optimistic ... (as in "Hey, I'M gonna be rich like that one day!")

Maybe a little too trusting (as in, "My boss said I'll get a nice pension if I work really really hard for him!")

Maybe a bit too gullible... ("My pastor said that capitalism was ordained by GOD HIMSELF! And being RICH means Jesus LIKES you!")

But most likely, maybe a little too TERRIFIED ... (as in "THE GUY ON THE RADIO SAID THAT IF THE DEMOCRATS GET INTO POWER MY DAUGHTER WILL BE GANGRAPED BY A BUNCH OF IMAMS AND WE'LL ALL HAVE TO LEARN ARABIC!!")

Having wealth is not a determination of being smart or stupid. George W. Bush proved that.

just content. it's harder for a rich man
to enter god's kingdom, than it is for
camel to squeeze thru the eye of a needle.

i think that's how the bible says it.
