green day is a good band.
punk nowadays is a bunch of ppl who call each other posers just because they wear like a polo shirt or something or if they listen to a band that isnt punk rock.
its a lifestyle guys. not ppl that just listen to punk/rock and dress the punk trend.
i cud listen to tim mcgraw and wear a polo shirt and be a punk. ppl are confused and closed minded.
punk bands i like?....
the ramones, the exploited, sex pistols.

Sounds alot like me =) Band: Boys Like ladies, Paramoure, Fall Out Boy, PAnic on the Disco, and that i might get thumbed down, yet Jonas brothers are ok for me 2 Artists: Usher, Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, Riahnna, Marah Carey, Beyonce, lil Wayne, Kanye West, Akon, Taylor speedy, Alicia Keys, Carrie Underwood, ***** Cat Dolls, Day 26, Danity Kane I oftentimes like R&B in spite of the indisputable fact that =)

If you think Green Day is punk rock you've seriously got your idea of punk messed up. Try The Sex Pistols or Ramones.
Green Day could have been considered punk when they started out before they started pandering to every emo kids whim.
Now they're nothing but a pop act

Punk has been dead since 1979. Green Day is not even close to Punk! The genre is dead and infiltrated by poseurs!

I've heard that Green Day is punk rock, and they don't sound like punk rock to me, but I like Green Day, so I guess I like punk rock. I think they sound more like folk rock though.
