I have met plenty of white ghetto people in my lifetime.

Because people are ignorant and prejudiced and the media isn't exactly helpful either, it only feeds this stereotype with biased coverage.

gurl i know where your commen from its true blacks usually get associated with the word getto and mostly its because some of us white people are jelous bc as you probally know the whites that got it all are usually said to be rich !! lol naw not really i mean i'll admit it i'm white and i'm i guess you could say i was borned and raised in the projects ! so u being called getto is alot like us being called white trash all because of the place we choose to live soo ... u have a good question and i'll be sure to keep reading the answers to see if anyone really knows why bc i most likely dont !!!

I think it's because alot of black people live in the ghetto. Cuz usually white people who act 'ghetto' are called trailer trash.

It's one of those racist stereotypes. It has nothing to do with being black. I've seen a lot of white ghetto people in my time too!

I live near East St Louis Illinois, I have YET to ever see one white person in their section 8 ghetto housing. And those people are always milling around outside in the yard. I am sorry honey but those are the facts. There are good and bad in every race but when you see facts you should at least be strong enough to admit it yourself.

I guess in the old days it was mostly blacks. Black people didn't have the education that whites got because their schools were bad and they only had old worn out books that were handed down to them from white people.

LOL, yeah, that's true! And, i have met a lot of ghetto mexicans.... It all depends on the person though. I just think ghetto is dirty wether you are black, purple, what ever color.
