The online application seems easier, and cheaper, in some cases. However, I am worried that colleges kind of toss online applications to the side, because I mean, they have to connect it to your transcripts which you mail in, and they could just as easily reject you because they don't have the time.
However, if you mail in your application, all of your stuff is together, and it's easier for them to review you as a whole.
So, what do you recommend? Am I just freaking out for no reason?
Thanks, guys.

Colleges will NOT punish you for submiting your app online.

The price is lower because it is probably used as a means to ENCOURAGE applying online. (it is easier to process your application; easier to read, standardized format, etc.).

I think on line is better.

Remember things that are put through the US Postal service get lost too. It may make it to the office but what happens then? what if someone misplaces it?

I say this because when I applied to CSUN, I did my application on line, but mailed my transcripts and application for family housing at the same time. I even made sure to take them to the main post office instead of putting them in the neighborhood mailbox. The on line app was recieved as well as the housing app, but they claimed they never got my transcripts. So again I paid for another copy of my transcripts and mailed them in. Again, they claimed to have never recieved them. i then decided to go with my second choice school, SFSU and everything worked out fine with them.

Absolutely not in my experience....they prefer online applications and online application fee payment. All of your stuff isn't together if you mail it because SAT scores are obtained electronically.
