Ok. My friend is having some serious issues with her computer.

On Yahoo, it allows her to sign on to messenger, but then it kicks her off immediately. She's had it before, but it's being a f*ucktard now. What's going on?

Tell her that Version 7 works the best without bugs. She can download the old version at:

Don't you just love the people that equate every computer problem to a Virus?

Yahoo Messenger has been having tons of problems. I download it a week ago and it scrambled my computer to the point of having to reformat. I have been using Windows Live Messenger without a single problem. My daughter uses Yahoo Messenger and has no problems. I am able to IM with her using the Windows Live Messenger, so that is what I'm sticking with from now on.

As long as you both have the Version 8.0 of each you can IM each other.

Probably a software glitch. Make sure she's got her password correct, then uninstall all Yahoo programs (messenger, toolbar, etc.). Then, reinstall all her Yahoo programs. That should solve the issue.

Have her run anti-virus free 30 day trial from eset.com
also download spybot run it as well (it is freeware do a search for it.)
then if that don't fix it remove yahoo messenger and download the latest version.

Uninstall / reinstall

If not virus:

This is more effective in safe mode (F8 during the boot, pick safe mode with networking)
