My best friend is turning 16 in a few days and i don't know what to get her...i do want my gift to be something special b/c our friendship has had so many ups and downs that we got through and it is her SWEET 16...every girls dream...lol...any ideas?

umm... if you want my opinion, get both a home made gift and some form of personalized jewlery.
you can make a sort of scrapbook filled with memories and pictures and just basically things that remind you of her.. ticket stubs to ur favorite movie.. lyrics to the song u both love... and also leave blank pages at the end so she can fill it out as time passes buy..
since that takes care of the sensitive side of the gift, the rest of ur money you can spend on an engraved ring or a Tiffany necklace or charm braclet with an engraved charm.
Then, if you want to go all out.. bring a HUGE cardboard box and fill it with the styrefoam stuff that u put in a box to fill it up. in the bottom, put the scrapbppk and jewelry and let her do a bit of a scavenger hunt looking for her gifts. She'll find one not expecting another.. so when shell see the other she'll be really surprised and happy..
But before doing what we are suggesting, u should get her something she would like. We are giving you ideas that we would like to happen to us or think hat she would like, but you know her, you know what she likes and dislikes.. you know what is special to her and keep that in mind while chosing her gift.

Get her somthing that is useful, and somthing that she can use for a while. If her parents are getting her a car, try and find some gas discount coupons or the like along with whatever you come up with.
