Wait, wasn't it two school age children in the UK who lured a little boy (his name was Tommy Bulger, I think) to some train tracks and murdered him a few years ago?

There are sick, twisted, demented people all over the world.

There was a gunman a few years back who took several children hostage in a school in the Germany. They had to kill him after he killed some of the kids.

What about the depraved terrorists who took HUNDREDS of children hostage in the school in Beslan, Russia, and killed all of them about 18 months ago?

Like I said, there are sickos everywhere. Please don't generalize about the USA.

OK..well, what's happened is truly SICK and EVIL but it was an act committed by ONE man, not an entire nation ! I'm from the UK and I have no reason to defend the Americans but I honestly feel that they don't deserve this !
I have a lot of American friends who are lovely , caring people they hate the things that happen in the US just as much but the trouble is America is such a huge country so the chances are that they will get a higher percentage of " headcases" than say us over here, but we have enough sick individuals here too ! Would you like to be blamed for all the sick actions of the British psychos ? I don't think you would, or anyone so as much as I respect your opinion , I'm afraid I don't agree with it !
You think trick or treat is weird ? Jesus..what about Guy Fawkes night ? Don't you think that's a bit weird ? Fireworks ( not just for one night..but for weeks on end) " the burning of the guy " I think is a lot more weird than a bunch of kids having fun ! Sorry, but that's how I see it .

there is no perfect nation anywhere on the planet.
there are sicko's and weirdo's everywhere. amercia is not alone in being home to the "sick and weird".[they may have slightly more than some countries due to the size of the population]
We hear about americas weird because of all their many news channels and stations, but when the same things happen in other countries i am sure sure that they hear about ours as well.

three shootings in schools in one week is a bit extreme even for the most broad and open minded of us. there are two major things that stand out for me.
one, the gun laws in america [other countries have similar laws but not as vocal as the americans.] need vastly updating and over hauling, gone is the need for a gun to keep the british king out [gone by 2 hundred years!!] the amercian people can go into stores and buy guns along with their weekly shop, now, forgive me if i am picky but is that something that one would normally pick up with a loaf of bread.
i know that the league for guns say that you have the right to a gun to defend yourself and your family. but with all these guns are you not more likely to get shot than shoot someone whilst in defense of you and yours. guns will always find their way into the wrongs hands, but the fewer guns about the less to fall into these hands.

two. the saddest thing that stands out about this incidents and other incidents like this, is that it always the ones who cannot defend themsleves that suffer, the innocent, the young and the harmless, the unarmed, the children.
even sadder is the fact that some of those who survive attacks like this will think that it is a good way to draw attention, seek revenge and make your point. thus turning the innocent who might have lead good lives, into damaged individuals with easy access to a way to make that point.

As parents we must teach our children that violence is not the way. violence begets violence, we must not give into the belief that it is the only way.

You're also right that there is something really wrong with the Americans. It's the same thing that's wrong with all humans. It's called sin. It has distorted what it means to be human. It has separated us from the peaceful, joyous, communal people God created us to be.

Everything distorted comes from the devil. Islam gives us suicide bombers. Communisism gives us rogue nuclear weapons. America gives us commercialis. Sudan gives us genocide. All human depravity is the result of sin.

Well, America is known to be a bit 'Full on' but we are
no different over here in the UK,, we have Murderers and
Weirdos alike... it is just, maybe,.. we are so ashamed of

Too much resentment, too much difference between rich and poor, too much Hollywood hype of the disgusting and too much mental illness. When you get sick bastards promoting the beating of the homeless and getting rich from it and thinking that it's really cool, when you have sadism being praised and kindness being disparaged this is the result. It is the ease with which people are able to possess guns that is sick and the question is how long before this country follows. Serious and sustained effort is needed to ensure that gun possession is treated as a serious offence with serious consequences.
