Get rid of limewire. It's extremely unsafe, and it's designed improperly.
I strongly suggest getting the non-pay morpheus.
It's almost twice as fast, and there are more SAFE song downloads.
I guarantee it will work better.
If it doesn't, then there's something wrong with the directory in which you are having music saved to.
You can easily configure that under preferences on morpheus.
www.morpheus.com
Download the latest version.

Q: Why can't I find the file I'm looking for?
A: The content of the Gnutella network consists solely of files which people running Gnutella software are sharing. If nobody is sharing the particular file you're looking for, you won't be able to find it using LimeWire. Furthermore, even if somebody running Gnutella software IS sharing the file you're looking for, it's possible that person doesn't fall within your reachable area. In this case, you won't be able to find the files you're looking for, either.
Since the entire Gnutella network isn't always reached with each search, searching for the same thing a second time may yield more results. The Gnutella network is continuously growing. In general, the more people that use it (and the longer they keep the application running), the more good content will be available to everyone.
Hope that helps:)

Its flawlessly authorized to make use of Limewire and Limewire professional. Its simplest what you down load and wether you're entitled to a duplicate is one more factor. To down load William Peterson is unlawful if you don't already possess the dvd. You ought to purchase it or would possibly come to be procuring 10,000 copies of the dvd and potentially jail time....if you're traced and unfastened in courtroom.

Your firewall is probably up. try this:
start>control panel>security center>firewall protection
turn it to off. After downloading I strongly recommend you turn it back on. And just so your clear, ALL P2P services have the potential for getting a virus, so keep your virus protection updated

Turn off your Anti-Virus program that is running in the lower right hand corner. Either that or just disable the online setting while downloading. I was having the same problem playing online games when my firewall setting wouldn't let me play, so it just may be the same concept.

in the lower left corner, check to see if you have a good connection. if your internet connection isn't good, you won't be able to perform searches and download songs.
