1. Group all similar terms in each side of the equation.
0.1p-4.6p-0.5p=-2.1-1.9
2. Perform the operation in each side.
-5p= -4
3.Divide the whole equation by the constant beside the variable.
-5p/-5=-4/-5
4. Cancel out the signs. p then is equal to 4/5

Add 1.9 from both sides
so you get .1p+4=4.6p+.5p
add the like terms on both sides
u get .1p+4=5.1p
subtract .1p from both sides
u get 4=5p
divide 5 from each side
u get 4/5=p
