Hello and welcome to the FISHY section of the PETS section of Yahoo Answers, an online internet forum designed to help answer questions that people may have about their FISH.

I see that you are a bold individual ... and willing to color outside the lines and think outside the box. Why ask a microwave question in the APPLIANCE or SCIENCE sections, when there MUST be FISH owners out there with the answers you are seeking.

The answer to your question:

YES, YOUR GUPPY IS PREGNANT.

Thanks for your great, FISH-related question!

You mean the microwave oven. The microwave was discovered.

Like many of today's great inventions, the microwave oven was a by-product of another technology. It was during a radar-related research project around 1946 that Dr. Percy Spencer, a self-taught engineer with the Raytheon Corporation, noticed something very unusual. He was testing a new vacuum tube called a magnetron (we are searching for a picture of an actual 1946 magnetron), when he discovered that the candy bar in his pocket had melted. This intrigued Dr. Spencer, so he tried another experiment. This time he placed some popcorn kernels near the tube and, perhaps standing a little farther away, he watched with an inventive sparkle in his eye as the popcorn sputtered, cracked and popped all over his lab

Cooking food with microwaves was discovered by Percy Spencer while building magnetrons for radar sets at Raytheon. He was working on an active radar set when he noticed a strange sensation, and saw that a peanut candy bar he had in his pocket started to melt. Although he was not the first to notice this phenomenon, as the holder of 120 patents, Spencer was no stranger to discovery and experiment, and realized what was happening. The radar had melted his candy bar with microwaves. The first food to be deliberately cooked with microwaves was popcorn, and the second was an egg (which exploded in the face of one of the experimenters).

It wasn't invented, Percy Spencer a radio operator notices that chocolate in his pocket melted while he was stood next to a microwave radio aerial. He developed that into the machine we know today.

Microwaves weren't invented - the name refers to a range of frequencies on the electromagnetic spectrum.

The microwave was invented by Margaret Wave upon giving birth to her first daughter Micra. The newborn was cube shaped, had a timer control and also went 'ping' when her inner chicken was defrosted.
