How do you forgive a cheater?

if you truly love that person, you will try to forgive, but you will never forget. The best thing to do is tell your self that it was a one time thing and you will not hold on to the past. Don't bring it up every time you have a argument. and sooner or later you will heal. GOOD LUCK

It's different for everyone and every situation. Forgiveness takes time and both of you have to work on it together. The cheater needs to show that they're truly sorry and want to rebuild your trust and keep the relationship.
Being open and honest will help, you may need to talk about your anger and hurt and get all these things in the open. I think you can only forgive if you feel the deed won't be done again. Regardless, you can never forget it happened.

It's hard to forgive a cheater. Even if you do forgive a cheater, it's definitely hard to forget.

I say leave the cheater and find someone else who won't do that BS to you!

Its OK to forgive a cheater, just never take them back. If you do you'll be more foolish then your avatar makes you look

thank God that I never had that problem yet, I know it must be hard to forgive. you can forgive but don't forget.....I guess you would have to sit down and have a heart-to-heart talk and tell the cheater that it is going to take time for you to build back trust that you had for them and to please be patient, and if you ask questions along the way not to get mad. If they really care for you they will be patient and understanding.

Forgiving is the easy part, it is the forgetting that is impossible. Just remember that until you forgive, you carry it around with you and it will affect every relationship you enter into.

You don't..... not now not ever.... Sounds like some gf cheated on Mr. Nice Guy..... Don't stand for it - you've been treated llike crap and it won't ever get better. Even if you stay together, the incident will always be there. Get out now. Find someone better who deserves you the one who cheated on you doesn't.

YOU DON'T, NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE. BETTER THINGS TO DO WITH MY TIME THEN WAST IT ON A CHEATER.
