I have no clue what this means.
The rear-end of a car refers to the rear bumper, brake and reverse lights, trunk, etc. (everything at the REAR of the car).
I'm not quite sure what you are trying to ask, but the question above isn't going to get you the answer you're looking for, whatever it is.

One easy way to check is take the numbers off the housing, this is if your asking about the rear axle gears, you can also call your local dealership and give them the VIN numbers and they should be able to tell you, or you could call a rear end specialist, good luck and GOD Bless,

What kind of car, You can read the tag and have it I.D.'d. If it is older GM,count the bolts on the rear cover,10 bolt,12 bolt.
