Lemsip's main active ingredient is paracetamol (which is one of the few drugs not known to have any detrimental effects in pregnancy.) I would say Lemsip is safe to take during pregnancy, however if your fever continues for more than a couple of days or you have any worrying symptoms, then it's worth getting checked out by your midwife or GP.

Lemsip contains paracetemol, which is the only medication I was advised I could take during pregancy, so it should be ok. Better to check the label to be on the safe side but I can't see the harm.

As far as I'm aware, lemsip contains paracetamo; which is not dangerous to pregnancy. The only other ingredients are vit C and caffiene.

shouldnt you be asking your midwife these sort of questions. Lemsip contains paracetomol. so if you are taking any other form of paracetomol then no, dont use it. If not then a dose should be fine but you should try and avoid any medications whilst pregnant.

lemsip contains paracetamol which is not recommended while pregnant especially in the first trimester.but after that it is meant to be harmless and OK if taken in small doses.so the decision is yours really.

it says on the box not to take if you have heart disease or high blood pressure. If it wasn't safe to take whilst pregnant they would have to mention that too so it must be safe. But if you're in any doubt don't take it till you've asked your pharmacist or GP. You don't want to risk anything happening to your baby because of the advice of a stranger on yahoo xx

please, please, speak to your midwife before taking lemsip,my mum lost her baby 2 days after taking it,i dont mean to scare you,but a doctor or midwife is always the best person to speak to,when it involves a little life.the midwife informed my mum that she was allowed to take paracetamol, but because lemsip contained other ingredients, this was likely the cause of her miscarriage.

As far as I know paracetamol is fine to take during pregnancy. I had terrible stomach pain ( similar to bad period cramp) in the first weeks of pregnancy and was told to take paracetamol. It wont do the baby any harm.
