Hi,

I'm planning to reseed my lawn. I had looot of weeds in my lawn o I thought of starting fresh.... I sprayed weed & grass killer, now all every thing is dead but I’m not sure how to take out all the dead grass. What is the best way to do it?

Thanks

Easiest way is to go to Home Depot or another tool rental place and rent a sod stripper. You can go back and forth like you're mowing and it cuts the old dead sod+weed mix and rolls it up as you go.

You have to get rid of the dead stuff somehow because it is very hard for new seedling's roots to penetrate that dead layer and get to the soil.

Once you've stripped it, loosen up the top 2-3" of soil so the seedlings can get a good start. Level anything out before you seed if it needs it.
